Going to Disney?
Im going to Disney World for Thanksgiving. I havent been within 10 years. Any suggestions, besides rides of things to not miss out on?

Ten years, how long ago did Animal Kingdom open? If you haven't be there, GO!
And i know you said nix on the rides, but you must, completely MUST ride "Soarin'". It is in Epcot (best park obviously), and it is a must must must! Get a fast-pass within the morning because the line is so long you could probably die within it.
And be sure to check out the night fireworks shows Illuminations (epcot) and Fantasmic (sp?) at MGM.
Pirates of the Caribbean have been remodeled, as have Small World (still annoying as hell, but worth riding once to see the changes), and Imagination (with Figment).
And just a personal suggestion, since it's my favorite, try to spend an entire hours of daylight at Epcot. The countries are still wonderful (catch the drum show in Japan), and it is smoothly the most entertaining park for adults and kids alike. I hope you have a great time!!
stir to mgm and see the show at the end of the hours of daylight. fantasia or something like that. also the lazer show at epcot. enjoy fun!

Definitely the classics like Pirates of the Carribean ( which they of late redid), Haunted Mansion, and the newly remodeled Space Ship Earth ride( the golf ball) at Epcot. For spanking new rides check out Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and Soarin. Buzz Lightyear is cool because you get to shoot a laser gun while riding it. Soarin is great because you perceive like you are flying.

I'd read out consider a vacation rental fairly than a hotel if you are going with a group, and mix it up a bit next to must sees, and stale the beaten track attractions.
TOWER OF TERROR! the test track is also kinda fun, it is supposedly the fastest ride currently, although it didn't really quality that fast. i would try to move about on all the rides!
Make sure you go to Universal Studios for two days, pay cheque for the food/drink meal miss, all around nippy pass for rides. Make sure you shift to The Mummy ride, Dueling Dragons.

For the ET ride, trademark sure you and another person impart funny names. For instance, my sister said her autograph was Mary and I said my entitle was Kon (long sounding O). ET say your names at the finishing because you give your baptize to the computer girl. He said goodbye John..Ron...Mary..Kon. HAHAHAHAH. He says them prompt. You get the point.

MGM have Osbourne Light, that is worth the trip alone. Also, how give or take a few character meal, they are great. Depending on your group size you may want to check out Mickey's Very Merry Christmas and backstage pass.
We were here last Thanksgiving and it be great. Do a dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom, the prefect Thanksgiving dinnertime.
Do not forget Fantasmic, Finding Nemo the Musical and The Motor Car show.
Will you be riding rides? Thanksgiving is one of the busiest weekends and you will positively need a accurate touring plan. My agency does custom touring plans. Two other good option are "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" or "Tour Guide Mike". A good plan will literally pick up hours of time wasted within long lines.
One thing I wallow in is Raglan Road at Downtown Disney. It has live music after 9PM - mostly cover songs w/ a Celtic verbs. Alot of fun. Make your reservations directly w/ the restaurant rather than through Disney Dining.
You don't mention your age - if you're over 21, the Adventurer's Club contained by Pleasure Island is a lot of fun.
