Is living on a $80k twelve-monthly satisfactory surrounded by Chicago?

we are looking for a neighborhood that is relatively safe and sound and has flawless schools. any neighborhood recommendation would be appreciated.

Look within lake county il. its north of chicago theres seriously of new homes ,town homes and elder ones the most important point is the train soooooo many family work in chicago im discussion grayslake libertyville antioch li lake villa fox sea ect. the best thing is the tie up of lakes contained by the summer its the only nouns in in poor health. where every one requests to be because of the boating ,fishing and all the places on the hose the restaurants outside with deck and piers where citizens come on there boats fireworks on the wet on the 4th of july fish frys the state park in fox tarn where you can own a tent or rv I'am from chicago and moved to lake county 34 yrs ago and I would not live anywhere else.In the winter they snowmobile ski &snowboard .In the state of not at your best. this is the only nouns like it. 80,000 is not satisfactory for a 300,000 mortgage unless you have a roomy down payment.The further out you dance the cheaper.You have to remember material estate taxes though.Always figure those out ahead of time.
When I read out further out I mean away from the city.You may hold a cheaper mortgage but quite a drive to work.Usually the more expensive the houses the better the school.
My husband teaches surrounded by the Glenbard district (Glen Ellyn,Lombard etc) but we can not afford to live there.
Hinsdale has righteous schools but you can't afford to live here. Surrounding towns are also pretty good, I provide in the Downers grove , Darien nouns. Depends on where you're going to work etc. There you can live on 80k.
80K should do pretty well if you preserve the house you wish to buy surrounded by the 300-400K range. Some western and southern suburbs hold houses in that compass. Hinsdale and Glenbard Townships have fully clad schools. You can use the concrete estate search engine on the Chicago Tribune website to assistance you out.
I've never bought a house or anything, I've been a lifelong renter, and 80k is plenty if you're looking for an average two/three bedroom apartment surrounded by the city.

The trick is that the public schools contained by the city are packed, so getting a place surrounded by a good institution district is a bit difficult. My wife and I looked into getting a place in Lincoln Square surrounded by the Bell Elementary (#17 on Chicago Public Schools) district, but it was almost impossible to find a place inside the district boundaries. If you want the city, you can always payment a few thousand a year to get into a private institution, or check out magnet schools...
I'm with the sole purpose familiar beside the south burbs, and I know Homewood is a very house friendly town with an outdated Metra station (45 minutes to downtown). Homewood also has a nice downtown part with lots of little restaurants, and parks. In reality in the summer they enjoy movies in the parks for free simply like downtown. In reality, they also have the Taste of Homewood. The public school from kindergarten through highschool in Homewood are some of the best within the burbs a well.
