Lava Land surrounded by Hawaii, is it buildable??
i am considering buying a lot contained by Hawaii, but this lot has have lava flow on it in the 1990s , i be told that it is buildable... is this true? need minister to. thanks

I don't reflect on it is buildable. The news footage of behind the times lava flows sure don't look like anything you could build upon. If not a soul here knows for sure you might try the Hawaii State Dep't of Land & Natural Resources. The phone # for the Engineering Division is 808-587-0230 & the Land Division is 808-587-0446.

Don't be blinded by the low prices for those lots! Lava zone 1 or 2 channel most likely that it will achieve lava again within the subsequent few years. No utilities in any effective future, no insurance and 20 - 40 miles away from the subsequent store. No ocean entry or sand to speak of, and little views but lava to distract you from anything. If you still want to buy greatly, plan to have a r.v. trailer parked on it, and a dirt bike to receive to & from town. Will save you the hassle to apply for permit to build. Trailer maybe illicit too, but at least you don't enjoy to tear it down when the authorities or the lava are coming for you...
lava can be grated by a bulldozer and later you can put up your new home.
lava make for wonderful yards impose it's rich in nutrients.
near is lots of fresh lava on the big island of Hawaii cause the volcano is constantly helpful which causes lots of vog= smoke fog.. some race are allergic to the fumes cause of the poisons and other race aren't.
Hawaii has the most throughout the USA of asthmatics & sinus infection cases due to the vog conditions .
it doesn't affect my partner but the vog does bother me, fortunately i just stay there a few months at a time and it's worth the congestion
If it be covered by a flow in the end 25 years, there is a karma it is considered to be in an moving rift zone and the county will NOT issue any building permits. In complement the water and electrical systems may also be destroyed and you would be responsible for getting them restored to your lot.
I would not buy anything until I be on-site. After that I would contact Hawaii County and start asking questions.
