I'm going to be moving to Chicago soon I want to know the cost of living contained by comparison to Houston?
Like gas prices/ciggerettes prices? min wage? cost to get contained by good clubs etc..

minimum wage is close to it is all over america. gas is just about the same, but for more expensive. but over all, chicago can be pricey UNLESS you know how to attain good deal. like in that are some amazing restaurants that are very small and nobody have heard of them and they are cheap. but resembling plays and movies are the same anywhere, unless you dance to places like hot tix where on earth they sell play tickets for smaller number. for clothes shopping, it's very pricey, so you enjoy to not go to the big places as much, and instead shop at cheaper stores (ex. ripened navy) and go to the mart rack. there are a great deal of stores that are outlets, meaning they go the same clothes as bigger stores, but for smaller quantity (ex. nordstrom's rack, marshells, etc.).
also, smoking is banned from various public places.
The costs contained by Chicago will be much higher. If you smoke you should know how to spell cigarettes. Houston have cheaper rent. How did you make the verdict to move to Chicago without doing any research and finding the answers to these question?

Gas will be higher because of adjectives the taxes. The City of Chicago requires a vehicle sticker if you live in the city. Parking can be expensive if you live on the North Side and depending where on earth. And why ask about min wage? Heck, min wage doean't compensate enough to live contained by the city unless you live with someone.

Gas prices are close to an vaerage of 3.29/Gal.Cigerettes are very expensive surrounded by chicago, like an average $7.5 per pack...For accomodation, if u look for a pious apartment at Devon Ave, it's cheaper...like 2 bedroom apartment for resembling $700 or soemthing...and as for food, food is excellent in chicago. You take all kind of foods, Continental, Chinese, mediterrinean, italian, indian etc. Just ask if u need any more details. Gud luck! :-)
