I think the 'typical' Manhattanite is working on some sort of duration quest, a personal search, but at top speed, lower than high pressure.and adjectives the other factors you mentioned tumble within that specification
There is no such point as "typical" in NYC.
Everyone within NYC is different. That's what makes this City so special!

The city is a mixture of rich and poor, those that are CEO's and those selling things without a roof over your head. You have cool associates, you have jerk. You have friendly types, you hold rude types. People come from all over to be here so next to that, the best way you can describe a Manhattan party is...one that lives in Manhattan.
