Does anyone own any tips for RVing?
We're going this summer.
Answers:
We a moment ago got a camper and I would say aloud plan ahead. Make sure you have reservations. Since the internet craze it is easier said than done to get RV sites. Use thesis products not real plates and fork and so on.Learn how to dump the grey and black marine (aka poop)--get heavy duty gloves for that chore. Bring alot of DVDs-sometimes it is tricky to pick up local TV. I can go on for days.plan and assume ahead
Plan ahead!
Plan to average about 50 MPH unless you are traveling on flat highway exclusively.
Be prepared to spend a lot of money on fuel.
If you hold never driven one before (or it have been a while) steal it easy! Drive slowly and extra guardedly.
RVing is about slow, relaxed and comfortable travel.
Check w/ AAA and use their guide to RV parks - it is great.
NEVER plan to jump anywhere in your RV specifically not a modern, well manicured, cobblestone road.
Get a AAA membership - it is the cheapest insurance you can achieve if you get stuck.
RELAX and ENJOY YOUR TRIP!!
We just finished one. It be our first RV trip. We rented a 35' Class C motor home for 3 weeks. My comments;
1. Gas cost a fortune!! The RV got just about 7mpg and it was impressively expensive
2. They are not too hard to drive but you will be worn out after driving a couple of hundred miles. It's much more stressful than driving a coup¨¦!
3. Make sure you have a reservation where on earth you are staying for the night!!
4. We found that state parks be great places to stay overnight. All of the ones we stayed at were immensely nice and had great services.
5. Unless you will be towing a car realize that once you park for the dark it's a hassle to go anywhere else (like out dance or to a restaurant)
6. You can stay at WalMart's (or most of them) if you just requirement a place to park for the night. Ask the store organizer. Alot of people do this.
7. If you hold to back up form someone get out and guide you, even if it's individual a couple of feet!! I literary this one the hard instrument!
That's about adjectives I can think of very soon. We really enjoyed it but it take some planning.
Have fun!
