La Jolla Indian Campground, Southern California?
How is it? Have you been in that?
Planning to go Sunday, motorcade 30
5 cars, 25 people
Going for hiking, picnic, river-tubing
How much will we own to pay?
Can we use our own tubes?
Any pre-trip suggestions?
Answers:
bring your own tubes... the biggest ones you can find. the fatter the better!!
the river is terribly rocky, and the current is fast. so monitor your kids!!
if you bring fatter tubes, and keep your back/butt from hitting the rocks, your okay.
my kids have a few scrapes from rocks. take some water shoes!! the river bed is rocky.
its nice and shady. bring your own fire wood too. the ranger will draw from irritated if you use the forest wood.
go to walmart and buy one or more of those military camp shower things. it's only 5 bucks, but if it hang there adjectives day, you can enjoy a warm shower, a bit than the cold showers offered on the camp grounds. since you enjoy a lot of inhabitants comming, it also acts as a great place to bathe hands/ dishes, and kids throughout the day.
hope this help.
OMG it's so much fun! Its been years but it is a great deal of fun.. it's camping but its nice because at hand are bathrooms & showers. Try to get a spot by the motor homes, they own electrical outlets =-). Not sure of the cost.. but i think it be like 10 per creature.. i believe you can use your own tubes... Dont forget to visit the little waterslide park down the street. Have fun! Dont forget firewood.
