What is the cheapest neighborhood surrounded by San Diego?

Answers:
Well I'm moving into North Park and it's right next to Balboa Park, close surrounded by and a nice area but not yuppy or anything. My rent isn't too doomed to failure either. I will be renting a fully clad two bedroom apartment and I will have a roomate. That's the track to go because single bedroom apartments can be $900+ /mo. I'm going to be paying $575 for my partially of the rent. By the way, the airport is not on the outskirts of town. It's right subsequent to downtown San Diego and when you fly into it you almost think you are going to hit the buildings. I don't know what that other guy be talking something like. Maybe a different airport but not San Diego International. Good luck finding a place. I don't know if you have friends or a wife and kith and kin, but if not, try craigslist if you want to find a roomate.
i dont think various places i San Diego are cheap anymore probably right on the outskirts of the city but that is where on earth the airport is so you may just ave to look around I used to live within Carmel Valley and it wasnt so bad wwhen we moved contained by in 99 but the pricces hold gone up everywhere
typically, in any immense city, it's the neighborhood that you are afraid to walk around surrounded by. that's why it's cheap.
for cheap places to live try looking within East and South counties

the father East you go the cheaper it get.
parts of south county are a ghetto
I want to say the cheapest is North Park.
You can check Craig's document, they have several listings and you can price the cheapest that path. Studios are always cheaper.
Good luck to you!

I agree beside the first responder. San Diego city council and board of supervisors don't seem to want anyone who is not comfortable, or upper middle class to live within their borders. We adjectives have to move 60 miles away and afterwards commute into town to run their businesses, and keep their companies going. I guess El Cajon, Spring Valley and some areas of National City might be smaller number expensive than some other areas. Logan Heights is even becoming upscale; also check out the Island avenue area of late south of downtown. by Fr. Joe's establishment. Some almost affordable rental units contained by that area. Sad but true. There is no longer anything "Finest" in the order of San Diego unless you have an income above $80K a year.
