Key Largo leave? Advice?
I was thinking of going to Hawaii (been here though) but the prices are much higher than Key Largo..
Is it a nice break spot? Can it be reasonable? Just looking for a relaxing place. Plus I dive so that's a plus but I want the wife to hold a nice time too?
Advice? Costs? Getting around?
Answers:
Advice: Watch out for skinny dippers at darkness time .
Costs: Regular
Getting around: Use US1/Overseas Hwy or CR 905/Card Sound Road to get to and from Mainland Florida .
Are you kidding? I used to live surrounded by the keys. It be the best 2 years of my life. Key Largo is a great place to start. Please promise you will jump to Key West, it is a small Island with similar to a 7 mile bridge going over the ocean to ge in that. A quaint place beside good eat and great activities, munch through at a place called Eat it Raw its distinguished. Make sure to go to Miami for a hours of daylight trip it isn't too far and your wife will LOVE the shopping. You can also take a daylight cruise to Bimini which is also great for diving, snorkeling, and para sailing. Then of course Orland is more or less a 2 hour drive with the happiest place on top soil DISNEYWORLD. Your kids will think you are a hero.
Check out this place. Ocean Reef club. It's been a few years since I've be there but it's a great place. They enjoy tons of activities - diving, swim beside the dolphins, parasailing, windsailing, water skiing, etc. I believe they will pick you up at the airport as powerfully. Key West is also worth a visit but it's an hour and a partly away. So you would probably need to rent a motor. Maybe on another trip I would recommend to do that.
