Dress / Work shoes for NYC Winter?
I am relocating from Phoenix, AZ to New York this summer. It’s a little pre-mature, but I am wondering since it will be my first “real” winter”. What shoes do you wear contained by the city on your way to work within the snow/ sleet/ or rain?
I will be working the financial district and I dress business cool (dress pants & button up shirt). I can’t dream of trudging along the city streets in pious dress shoes in the snow or precipitation? Do people changeover shoes when they get to the bureau? If so, what do you wear on your way in-sneakers? I am never have to deal beside this before until immediately? Please help appreciation!

In the winter BOOTS, you should see the snow/slush/water that collects in the crosswalks! (sidewalks too!) Most everyone change shoes- sneakers are the footwear of choice in upright weather.
I'm a Floridan now surviving 5 years of walking everywhere surrounded by freezing cold.
I swear by the brand Born. They are super well made leather shoes/ boots designed for walking but still stylish. For winter enjoy a good two of a kind of boots & heavy duty socks (& get back-up socks, just contained by case)--the kind effortlessly found at camping/outdoors stores. Worth the investment! (Remember to break in your shoes a couple weeks formerly walking to work. I learned the unyielding way.)
And seriously don't forget a wool hood, heavy scarf, & thermal gloves.
i have some unwieldy duty northface snow boots for when there's a lot of snow on the ground, a couple pairs of impermeable hiking boots, uggs for dry cold weather and rain boots. even during the rest of the year seriously of people wear sneakers to and from work - walking contained by this city is treacherous...everyone changes at the organization...
most people wear boots.comfortable boots. consequently they change into their shoes for the department.
My friend, the Winter months surrounded by NYC is cold, and I mean bone cold. My direction wear a warm coat, hood, scarf and gloves.
Now, most people here wear snow boots, but they individual wear them when it snows. You can ware business shoes when it doesn't snow, however, when it snow you can wear boots and change to your regular shoes once you attain to the office.
