Islands of Adventure and Universal are so much better than DW.
If you enjoy children I can see DW but after about 12 years of age, DW is lately boring and very overpriced.
Go to the sand, St Petersburgh on the gulf coast or Cocoa beach on the Atlantic coast. Both are markedly clean and exceedingly safe plus the ocean is really warm. Kennedy space center is suitable especially if there is a shuttle launch. Gator Land is all right worth a visit especially if you want a bit of a rest from the subject parks. There are loads of things to do once you get to Orlando and the family are very friendly and obliging. Have a good trip.

If you have the money, Discovery Cove, awfully expensive but WELL worth it.
Downtown Disney-tons of shopping and restaurants.
Hit up Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant in City Walk, Universal. Great food!
Go to any river park there, they are adjectives a blast.
Stay at Hard Rock Hotel if you are planning on staying in a hotel. Expensive, but massively cool.
Also Nickelodeon hotel was a blast, if you hold young children.
Just get back from 2 weeks ourselves.
Cirque Du Soleil - LA Nouba is the show at hand it is great it is in Downtown Disney

Miami South Beach! Can not enunciate enough around how much I love it there.
St. Petersburg/Clearwater practical Tampa is also very nice.
