Good place to stay within San Diego, close live music?
Will be visiting San Diego soon, driving down from Los Angeles. Would similar to to stay close to live entertainment/singles bars to come across new and interesting populace. Thanks for your input.

I would suggest the Gaslamp District in downtown San Diego...within are lots of bars and nightclub in that nouns. Also hotels.
Another fun more laid back nouns with associates mostly in their twenties would be the bar and nightclubs of Pacific Beach.
That will be hard to find contained by San Diego given the sailor population there. You may try Tijuana Mexico if your looking for singles bar. The party scene across the border is much more fun (and seriously cheaper!!) than San Diego.
