I would enunciate las vegas is about as past the worst as any other city. Depends where you shift ofcourse. Every city has it's desperate areas.
I'm a single female and enjoy went when I be 22, 23 & 24 all times i enjoy walked up & down the strip & gone to shows alone near no problems.
So just approaching with anywhere, you own to be street smart and be aware of your surroundings. I practice the same things as when I'm contained by my home town: hold onto my purse, make sure no ones following me, dont set things down and tramp away from them
Also, when your drinking, only adopt drinks it you saw it being made and it be handed directly to you from the bartender an hold your hand over your drink at adjectives times!
have fun!
I have lived here for 5 years. I usually be in motion to the Las Vegas Strips when I get the providence. I am from Singapore but of course when I shift to Las Vegas Strips, I will definitely enjoy my camera around my neck. So far its be safe for me. Just beware of suspicious characters when you're walking on the strips. Check out this association before you drop by Las Vegas to know more about it -- http://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/
i lived within vegas my whole time and i cant think of anywhere else that i could be incline in. its really nice. and ppl drive dutiful. and if you're a tourist, you'll be probably spending time near the casino and strip and its secure there lead to of the 24/7 security and stuff.
Remember CSI is a TV show. Vegas is no safer or worse than any other city.
You enjoy to use your head. Watch your surroundings. Don't stride off the strip and stay within well lit areas. Stay where on earth there are relations.
If you are in a casino and surface uncomfortable, ask warranty. The are there to aid.
I've been here many times and one and only felt mortified once. And it was my defect. I walked surrounded by an area that I shouldn't hold, and knew I be being followed.
Just use your guide! You'll be fine
BTW...lots of good points from the other posters.
Around the resort areas on the Strip and surrounded by most casinos there's alot of security and you will be locked. I would not suggest venturing outside these areas in need being contained by a group or without the company of a local you know. FYI.. Vegas is merely as safe or dodgy as any other major US city, use like saftey precautions and instincts you would in the nearest big city to you. Do not tolerate CSI influence you too much!
it depends where on earth you are in vegas. on the strip when its busy you can take your pocket picked, don't carry a unstop purse, and keep your money within your front pocket. when your down town stay around freemont street. when your in north las vegas at darkness take a gun beside you. if you want to go sour the strip. go to boulder highway, sams town better probability there. local casinos are smaller and are more monitor full of guests. good luck and stay not detrimental.
Las Vegas is as out of danger as any city in the US - Yes, in that is crime. There's also crime in New York, Miami, Topeka, and anytown USA. You have need of to use common sense. Keep an eye on your belongings at adjectives times Don't wander into unpopulated areas - especially after gloomy. Don't be intoxicated and alone. Have at least one sober personage in your group to formulate sure nobody does anything dangerously stupid.
In the adjectives areas of the casinos (with the only exceptions self the restrooms and guestrooms), you are under surveillance every second. Maybe not you specifically, but if something happen, there's somebody watching. There is also hotel security - and copious of the Strip hotels have top-notch payment. There are also Las Vegas Metro Police officers patrol the Strip and Downtown areas 24/7.
Remember: shows like CSI (and Law and Order, etc.) steal a LOT of dramatic license. As my friend who's NYPD used to tell me when I asked in the order of something that happened on these shows, "Cartoons are not real". =)
Here is a certainty that many citizens don't understand. The T.V dramas that surface on T.V. are not real. They enjoy no reflection on trueness.
In Las Vegas, the rules for a big city apply. Do not go contained by to a back ally at 3 a.m.
Avoid the neighborhood starting west of the Stratosphere and going north to down town. Inside the casino's and on the most important streets things are safe and you will enjoy a good time.
In the adjectives remember that T.V. dramas are not real existence.
Hola regina, la verdad que no te podría ayudar porque nos soy norteamericano y mucho menos vivo allá pero te deseo muchisima suerte en tu búsqueda.
Of course you will be locked. I assume you will be staying at a nice hotel. Stay in the strip nouns. I recommend staying together when your walking around the strip. Don't stay out by yourself and head contained by alone at 4am. You just hold to use common sense similar to in any hulking city. Have fun.
I used to live in Las Vegas. Granted, that be 7 years ago, but I think I enjoy some advice. If you stick to the strip or the Freemont Street experience, and you stay within crowds and with nation you know, it should be okay. People get into trouble when they tolerate their guard down. Don't drink to the point that you're drunk and don't go bad somewhere with someone you a short time ago met. It sounds like adjectives sense, but it's amazing the stupid things people will do within Vegas, simply because it is Vegas. The casinos are very distracting- that's quantity of their scheme, adjectives the noise and flashing lights and bright, colourful carpets overstimulate your brain and you lose track of newly how long you've been sitting at that slot tool, and how many free drinks you've have... That's another area where on earth people acquire into trouble. To me, Vegas is not a relaxing vacation, lol. The lights are breathtaking, and some of the casinos own shows out front that are a sight to see, but it really is earth-shattering that you pay attention to where on earth you are and who's around you. It can be fun, but it takes work.
For a tourist 1% all so not nontoxic you have to be really really supervision full. you can try this http://www.lasvegastips.com

I was nearby with my Mom surrounded by June. We stayed at Bally's, and cruised (walking) around the Strip late into the evening (it be like 3 am!) There be so many other society around and having a great time--what a blast ! We also go on the monorail (which I highly recommend--get a outdo for that)

I have to narrate you---I never even once felt unsafe surrounded by any of these places! I wouldn't go anywhere rotten the Strip at night from what I hold heard, but on the Strip at hand are tons of people. And the casinos enjoy security guards, too. You a short time ago need to be aware of your surroundings as you would anywhere else.
Have a wonderful time !
I live here and exceptionally safe. If you believe TV is realness pick another vacation site.
The strip is very secure; its always bustling beside people so youll not often be isolated from a lot of those. You really have drastically little to worry just about. Just keep your purse/wallet immobilize and youll be fine.
