Does anyone nick Metra to chicago from the SW burbs.?
I'm looking to leave from any Aurora, or Joliet.. I'm just curious as the parking situation at both near. And where you draw from off surrounded by the city and your routes. Thanks

Well Aurora and Joliet aren't really southwest suburbs. As for parking I have no experience near Joliet but Aurora at the Rt 59 staion is terrible. Your better stale getting a ride or taking a train. If you do park your going to get a ticket.
go to the aurora station on Broadway which is route 25( located subsequent to the roundhouse restaraunt) basically... park your motor early or youre going to own a very difficult time finding a spac ei mingy park EARLY like resourcefully before 8:30... i would park at7 if you could in attendance are some paarking lots down the steetto the left of the station but you enjoy to crusie and look. or you could take the geneva station which have more ample parking
If you get on surrounded by Aurora, you end up at Union Station at Adams & Canal. You'll involve to either use a couple of CTA rides or CTA to the Metra Electric Line (which runs down the sea shore, and stops at McCormick Place).
From Union, the cheapest and simplest way to do it, assuming you're really close to McCormick Place (once you own a Metra monthly ticket) is to use the CTA #151 to the Randolph St. Metra Station, then the Metra Electric Line down to the McCormick Place station, which drops you lower than the North Building at McCormick Place. With a CTA Chicago Card you'll pay $1.75 respectively way for the bus trip. The second Metra ride will be covered beneath your monthly. Randolph St. Station is out of your way a bit, but you'll hold less walking to do if you lift the bus there as defiant a bus down Jackson St. to the slightly closer Van Buren St. Station.
In theory, you could hike from Union Station to the Van Buren St. Metra Station and not use the CTA at all, but that's a really long saunter (about 1 mile) which will take going on for 20 min, so you may not have time for that. From Joliet, you take the Rock Island Line to LaSalle St. Station; from here you can any walk to the Red Line at Harrison St & State and steal that to Cermak, and then the #21 Cermak bus to where on earth you work (or walk). Or you can take a bus or tramp to Van Buren St. Station as above.
Use the RTA trip finder to figure out routes, it's not unflawed, but it gives you planning.
