Anybody know any well-mannered video hobby, apparel or vinyl(eg Kidrobot) stores within New York City?
i'm going away to new york for a week within 2 weeks time and would love to pick up some exclusive things not yet availible within the uk
like...
(games)-Taiko Drum Master (PS2)
-Beatmaina (PS2)
-Smash Bros Brawl (Wii)
(apparel)-Kid Robot
(Vinyl)- Kid Robot eg: Dunny, Munny Etc

I muse the Kid Robot IS on Prince. It's a bit on the wee side, but still filled near fun stuff.
You can try the general video games stores, approaching GameStop or EB Games (both are owned by the same company). Or you can try the R Zone at the big Toys R Us contained by Times Square, or you can actually try the Nintendo Store for the Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The R Zone is probably your best bet for the video games, though, since you're looking for different games for miscellaneous platforms. If you go to the Toys R Us, the R Zone is located downstairs, essential the Ferris wheel.
Hm. I don't know nearly the vinyl. I'm assuming you mean collection? You could probably hit St. Mark's Place. Don't really buy records any more. And for clothes, you can try Yellow Rat Bastard on Prince. It's get a huge selection of punk, funk, Japanese import stuff. I go near to get punk shirts or to satiate my Paul Frank joneses.
Just out of curiousity, are the US games compatible near the UK systems? I know that not all UK DVDs are compatible near US DVD players, so I wonder if it's the same for video games. You might want to check that out back buying it here in the states. . . .
unfortunatly they moved kid robot for renovations so its on green st i think. they trade the dunny, munny apparel etc there.
there's a kidrobot west of broadway, I think on spring or prince, but I'm pretty sure it's prince.
There are spectator sport stores like EB games and Gamestop lots of places, close to --Broadway and 8th, 33rd and Broadway, and 34th and 6th (Manhattan mall).
edit: Just individually I have found the R zone to own the worst selection, I would reccomend spectator sport stop, they have adjectives platforms
