Go see Wicked on broadway! Bloomingdales is other fun for shopping (or browsing) and Dylan's Candy Bar right across the street on 60th and 3rd ave is a great fun place to stop for a snack.

I suggest you to go to the Rockefeller Center. It is really cool and fun to be contained by there, you would soak up the shops, ice skating rink museum, and the city itself. I also would suggest you to pop in Time Square, and Broadway Theater. There are awesome areas and places in New York City. You will love it! Enjoy!
for NYC:
The Bronx Zoo and the Bronx Botanical Garden are right near respectively other .you can take the train from Grand Central (buy things within the station to take next to you for lunch).it is a fun thing to do.
