When it warm up take the interstate over through the badlands of South Dakota, on to the Dogtooth Mountains over Beartooth Pass, into Washington state and around the Olympic Peninsula, after down almost to the Oregon line and follow the Columbia river East afterwards back home. Probably going on for a week to ten day trip but without doubt beautiful terrain plus educational.
