Answers:
well first word of adviice the cityof Santa Ana is Not close
*any* ocean (its a landlocked city)
if you want to see the the deep you can try (in Orange county
Hungtington,Costa Mesa Newport beach etc
but not Santa Ana,
okay if you still want to attain to Santa Ana you could
take Amtrak or Greyhound from Palm Springs
near Amtrak theres only 1 time every 3 days and departs
at 6:37am arrives LA at 10:30am and later connecting to another train to santa Ana,,depart at 12;00pm and arrives 1:15pm
for greyhound (which i DO NOT RECOMMEND
since on that route they use a contractor route and those
drivers dont speak english very well)
beside the train.quick and confident.
There is no expeditious or cheap way to create this trip by train. There is only one train a time, and it would involve spending the night within Los Angeles.
The nearest Greyhound Bus Terminal is in Indio, California. There are two day after day schedules that would run you to Santa Ana. On both you must change buses surrounded by Riverside, California.
One departs Indio at 10:10 am and arrives in Santa Ana at 2:25 pm (1:30 layover contained by Riverside). The other departs Indio at 5:10 pm and arrives in Santa Ana at 7:50 pm (15 minute layover contained by Riverside). Both are $24.50 each means of access.
PS: If you plan to see the Pacific Ocean you will have to shift further than Santa Ana. Santa Ana is about 12 miles from the coast.
