Long Beach, CA
There's seriously of diversity, a true melting pot, and it's still laid posterior, on the beach, lots to do within the city and great for raising kids. Long Beach is not lately the LBC of rap songs; every city has it's not so great nouns. It's a beautiful town right on the hose down that has so much to submission, with a range of neigborhoods/communities and venues from tourist attractions to restaurants, great weather, close to Los Angeles, but far satisfactory away, a beautiful downtown. You can pretty much find everything near.

It depends what you are looking for...city or country time? four seasons, humidity, desert, mountains, beach, boating, skiing, etc.? I live in Utah and it's a great place beside a little bit of everything (except the humidity).
North Carolina!! I miss it so much...not the humidity though. I miss the beaches near! you have the best of both worlds, shore and mountain all inside a few hours of each other!
Hawaii...it's beautiful, but expensive! it;s truly bliss

We live nearly 400metres from the beach where on earth we watch dolphins play at sunset, keep under surveillance turtles come up to lay their eggs, and walk across a sandbar to an island to see penguins and seal!!
