Can you make available me some DC lodging/ entertainment accepted wisdom for a weekend trip to DC this weekend?
I'm thinking of surprising my husband with a weekend trip to DC this weekend for our 6 month anniversary. I'd love some design on unique places to stay. I'd also love input from some guys on fun things to do. A little bit of info around him to help you out...he is a huge Redskins lover, loves Vietnam war history, the Dave Matthews Band and spent 3 hours within the Smithsonian last crash down "flying" those hydraulic fighter planes. I hope you can aid me!

bec the final time we had several friends visting, their rates be quite plausible for DC, offered free buffet breakfast and shuttle bus etc.
In fact when we go to Orlando Disney last spring break, my wife and kids be very pleased next to HAWTHORNE SUITES (which I believe is part of the HYATT HOTEL Chain) and the place be packed!
Suggest staying within Old Town Alexandria. I just checked Tripadvisor and rates for any the Morrison House Inn and the New Hotel Monaco are under $200 a dark. Going to directly to the sites produced rates significantly higher.
Old Town be voted the most romantic date city by Washingtonians, so it would be the perfect place for your "anniversary". There are amazing restaurants and boutiques adjectives within walking distance of a block of respectively hotel. Got a dog? Bring them! The hotel encourages dogs and the city is thoroughly dog friendly. You can take them into most businesses except restaurants, though even the restaurants own outside dining options that you may bring your dogs. The Metro is walking distance which can cart you right into the city to the museums.
