Laces Roller Skating Rink surrounded by Long Island closed?
I gew up in New York City and go to Long Island to go Roller Skating next to family up at hand and the place was call Laces and was a huge roller rink. I be just wondering if anyone know about it or if it closed, planning on taking a trip soon and would approaching to see it if it is and I can't find it on the internet.
Answers:
Where exactly was it? Not sure why, but I'm thinking Hillside Avenue around Herricks Road within New Hyde Park?
If that's the place, it's now an rime rink called Iceland:

Add a detail if that's not the place, but I do expect it is.
EDIT: Then that's the place. I remember talking roughly speaking it once, and know for a 100% fact that Iceland be once a roller rink. Therefore, I'm nearly 100% certain that this be the place. The only other roller rink I can surmise of in the nouns is "Hot Skates," but that's somewhere else, and certainly not on Hillside.
Further nouns description: across the street, there's a small movie theater, and Herrill Lanes bowling alley. There's a strip shopping precinct across Herricks Road. Down the block, a Jewish center. Sound familiar?
So, you can still call on Laces, but just engineer sure to have blades instead of wheel :-)
Laces! Wow, I spent a lot of time nearby when I was a kid.
I lived surrounded by Queens and it was the best article in the world when you get a birthday party invitation and it be at Laces. And all the girls get sweatpants that said "Capricorn" on them with iron on lightning bolts.
Those be the days!
