Whenever i look at pictures of american citys they adjectives look shade and dreary places, is USA really resembling that?
Answers:
Quick answer is no.
Longer answer would be:
Depending on your frame of reference. A righteous way to peacemaker would be age. Older cities will look darker/drearier given the same external factor. Of course there's things like architecture and space to consider, space usually equals more standard lamp and more greenery. Modern architecture which uses glass much more regularly than stone will reflect more fluffy and make it look brighter. There is mostly more diversity of cities and countryside in the USA than most other countries, and it'd be sturdy to label the country as a unbroken.
Most big cities are. Nashville is one exception. And the smaller cities collectively are more open, green, and well-lighted.
Of course they're not all gloom and dreary. You're obviously seeing some impossible pictures.
Have you seen any pictures of any cities surrounded by Hawaii? I don't know anyone that would call Hawaii muddy and dreary!

America's a country full of different stuff, you can never generalize it.
Look at pictures of Portland, Oregon or San Francisco, California and I think you'll transformation your mind. But if you look at Detroit or New York you might think things are dreary here.
harry k is on the right track - lots of standard lamp in my piece of Brooklyn, even parts of Manhattan that are dark due to tacky skyscraper development are only just dreary, have you never see a picture of Times Square. Very wide avenues approaching Part Avenue are never dark or dreary!
I don't know what photos you're looking at, but I don't believe that to be true.
Yes, there may be some "unlit and dreary" cities (or parts of cities), but there are several cities that are not so.
