I own to call on LA subsequent week. Is it a nice place to look in? Convince me 'cause I'm not aflame.?
I know its meant to be amazing but I'm not at adjectives enthusiatic. So whats so good almost LA and where should I call on? I'm in London.

I live in LA (in the San Fernando Valley) and I still can't amount out why people want to come call in. There's basically nought here... As a local who grew up here, I love it, but the real LA is not something you can see contained by a trip.
I don't know where you're staying... LA is a huge city. Rent a motor if you want to do anything. Go to the beach and delight in the sunshine. The Santa Monica Pier is nice. Make sure to visit the aquarium underneath the carousel.. most people don't realize it is nearby.
As for museums, you might enjoy a drop by to LACMA or the Getty Center or the new Getty Center Villa. The La Brea Tar Pits is cool too.
We take so tired of knocking down these stereotypes. It's not downtown Baghdad, for crying audibly.
There's tons of stuff to do and see. You are only set to how much time and money you have.
Yes, downtown can be a moment or two claustrophobic, but a lot of general public like it and it's going through a revitalization.
And you will find your elocution works like an aphrodisiac on the locals. Use your powers prudently.
l.a. is the greatest place surrounded by the world. i should know i grew up there. run to rodeo drive. it is SWEET. unless you dont have n*e money..after don't go. lol. but travel to the beach its the best. you'll love it

I love LA. Every big city has crime and unpromising areas.
For museums I suggest: The Getty and the Getty Malibu, Museum of Latin American Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art. For kitsch there's even the Museum of Neon Art. Fresh Paint Art Advisors in Culver City is have a group show that runs until July 11. The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA has a show going on call WACK! Art and the Feminist Revolution. More than 100 artists are represented.
For something you won't expect go see the Hsi Lai Buddhist Temple. It looks resembling the Forbidden City transported to LA.
Go hiking in Tahquitz Canyon to check out the waterfall.
Go see the Huntington Gardens.
Rent a car and drive along Sunset Boulevard starting at the Pacific Ocean.
Visit Castle Greystone for a great scene of LA.
Visit the Griffith Observatory to watch the sun set over the the deep.
Get a tan on Laguna Beach. Their Arts Festival is also going on right presently.
Drive along Mullholland Drive starting at the 405.
I thought it was pretty fun. Hang out at the shore. Thers a lot of start markets nearby and great piers. Theres one at Santa Monica, very close to LA that have amusement rides. I loved going to the cemeteries and seing the high-flying dead celebrity.

I go LA in April and hold to admit it is zilch like what I thought it be going to be. I expected glamour everywhere and it definitely isn't close to that. We still enjoyed our trip though. We stayed within Hollywood, so walk along Hollywood Boulevard, see the stars surrounded by the pavement, see Grauman's Theatre, Kodak Theatre, Hollywood and Highland. We also went Universal Studios which be good fun. Also go to Santa Monica Beach, Venice Beach and Malibu. There's the Getty Centre, Hollywood Bowl. We went on one of those trips to see the star's homes, cannot believe the money they salaried for them - I wouldn't live there! Walked down Rodeo drive, lots of fancy cars outside, looked within a few shops, all terribly designer with no price tag and security guards scrutinisingyou trying to work out if you look similar to a person beside a lot of currency! There's a lot of bar and clubs on Sunset Boulevard but you need a reservation or wad of cash to obtain into a lot of them. Don't know if you are hiring a motor at all but we manage fine without one. We go everywhere on the buses and subway. $3 for an all light of day ticket, much easier than getting stuck in adjectives that traffic.
LA is what you make it. It's highly spread out so you need to plan what you want to do respectively day. We enjoy it but a week was satisfactory and now I've be there I wouldn't step back.
i really like LA but if you don't mind a little bit of travel i personal enjoy going to san francisco. it is definitely worth a trip near and if you do go consider going to yosemite national park another it is breath taking. also the elegant canyon is spectacular, a life time experience. while you are contained by la take a vistor to the hollywood sign in recent times so you can say you enjoy seen it, through it isn't as amazing as you expect.

LA is fantastic...if of course you similar to big cities with little to no public transportation, a horrible traffic problem, and smog so gluey you could swim in it.
Kidding obviously...sort of.
LA is great for shopping (Rodeo, Robertson, Melrose)
Partying (everywhere in Hollywood and West Hollywood)
and that's pretty much it.
As for gallery, definitely trade name sure you go to the Getty Museum. Unbelievable place. Closed on Mondays though (that bit me surrounded by the (a)$$ once).
Also, the LACMA (LA County Museum of Art) has some great stuff and is located on Miracle Mile, a nice stretch of town on Wilshire.

If you have the time purloin one of the all morning bus tours. You will see a lot of what L.A. is around. Depending on your interests there are great things to see. La Brea Tar Pits, Catalina Island, the Queen Mary - and Russian Sub.
Lots more to see but it is a crowded thunderous city. Oh wait you are from London so you are used to that. Lol.

Great place to visit but I wouldnt live in attendance again. Describe your hobbies and what you like to do and I'd be jolly to help numeral some things out. However with that one said I would head out to Orange County, Newport Beach + Hunnington Beach are awesome, the coast, sports, and babes what else do you have need of?
As an English visitor I insufferable 'downtown L.A.'!I felt unsafe.Go to the better parts-Santa Monica is nice!Better still,go and get a short flight to San Francisco-much nicer !
You'll emphatically want to visit Compton. It's best at dark.
Try the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens, north of LA surrounded by San Marino.

Honestly, I loathe LA. People drive like maniac (and I grew up in a through East Coast city), the air is practically unbreathable (again, see above), in attendance is basically no public transportation and it's not exceptionally pretty.
I've been to LA twice. You will similar to it. The weather is good. People are friendly. Universal studios is worth a pop in.
