Where to stay contained by Chicago?
Looking for a place to stay in Chicago on memorial light of day weekend that isn't too expensive, close to public transportation, and not a dump. Any recomendations?

If you book now surrounded by a good location approaching the Loop, the Gold Coast, or River North through a hotel discout site you should expect to pay $139 (Travelodge) at the low closing stages and $250 (Embassy Suites) at the high fall.
What you're looking for is the address of the hotel should stick to three numbers at most...like the Hard Rock at $230 n Michigan Ave or the Silversmith at 10 s Wabash. Really, you could walk pretty far on the north side...though I wouldn't say to stay too far north of Lincoln Park which is close to 1200 north to like 2800 north. The neighborhoods don't seize bad north of Lincoln Park, I would a moment ago say that's as far north as you should step if you want to enjoy downtown.
