Train to Madison Square Garden In New York?
more questions around taking the train to NY from Ct. I have never taken a train past and have no perception what to do or where exactly to travel and buy tickets. Can i buy train ticket weeks or days in finance?
Im In Plainville, Connecticut. Where can i go to draw from tickets?
I need them to jump to NY and then come home that dark, it might even be after midnight...do they run that late?
The date is May 9th... Im taking my daughter to the My Chemical Romance Concert.

Yeh you can buy them within advance or modify it at the last second, in that are many trains that run in that. Trains are on schedules though so I don' deduce you can get one that runs that past due. You may have to stay a dark

If you run Amtrak from New Haven, it will take you to Penn Station which is right below MSG. You can buy tickets surrounded by advance or at the station.
Taking Metro North from New Haven will be much cheaper, but it'll put you across town at Grand Central Terminal. From near you can take the S or 7 train to Times Square and after a downtown 1,2 or 3 train to Penn Station, which again, is in one and the same complex as MSG. For Metro North you are much better off buying tickets contained by advance or at the station. If you buy them on the train you'll settle much more for them.

No trains be in motion from CT to Madison Sq Gardens. You can take the Metro-North to Grand Central Station. Take the subway from nearby. Take the train to Times Square (I can't remember waht number, try hopstop.com for directions), and then the 2 to penn station. Penn Station is within the same complex as Madison Sq. so its uncomplicated. If you aren't comfortable with the subway, it shouldn't be easier said than done to get a cab outside Grand Central.
