If you bring a "fanny pack" or day pack you will be looked upon as a freak. Unless you plan to walk to maybe a dozen top expensive restaurants surrounded by Honolulu you don't need dress pant or shoes (waste of luggage space). As a girl you can get contained by anywhere with a summer dress and sandals. A jacket is excess of luggage space and you will never wear it, bring one light sweater instead.
You can wear shorts, shirts and flip flops to simply about every where on earth you go at any time of the hours of daylight. If you don't own flip flops don't worry, you can attain them at any ABC store for about $5. Fact is you can obtain everything you need here, so don't worry too much roughly forgetting anything.
Pack very oil lamp, just shorts, shorts, swimming suit (two), a couple of summer dresses and shirts. unsurprisingly you need money, plane tickets and a camera. That is adjectives you need for the islands. Too copious people pack a bunch of stuff they never lapse up wearing or using. If you involve something, buy it. If you bring everything you could possibly need you might not shop. Give yourself as much explanation to shop as to surf.
Leave home your UGGS, your winter coats, your leather jackets, etc... why bother/hassle next to packing those.
Bring a duffle bag (or buy one) for your dirty clothes and use your carry-on for your investigational ones or whatever souvenirs you've picked up on your road back home.
