Moving to the Dallas TX nouns?

My husband and I are considering moving to Texas. like to the cities surrounding Dallas... Some cities we hold looked into are Fort Worth, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Desoto, etc. anyone have any insight on those cities and any others... Still looking into other areas of the country... but this chunk has really sparked out interest. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I would avoid living any where on earth south of Dallas. If you are looking for a nice, suburban area near easy access to everything and plenty of routes to win from point a to point b, then you would be prudent to check out Plano, Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Little Elm. You have two primary north/south arteries going in to Dallas. The cities are expanding fast and you could by a home this year and within 3-5 years, the price may double. It's a totally nice area to elevate your family. I singular left because of a work verbs, otherwise I would still be there enjoy life.
Plano is one of the nicer surrounding cities - for starting or raise a family. Possibly Frisco as very well which is just north of Plano. Both of which are simply a 20 -30 minute drive north up I-75 from downtown Dallas.
Alot of people are mentioning places approaching Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, and Little Elm. Don't get me wrong, those are REALLY nice areas. Problem is.the TAXES. Property taxes contained by TX are big to begin next to, but those cities they are horrible, not to mention, very expensive to get going with. DO NOT move to Arlington, Grand Prairie or Desoto. Not the greatest areas. They are enormously overcrowded and becoming very run down. The best places surrounded by my opinion are fundamental Fort Worth. Its a much slower pace, and contained by my opinion, safer. If you enjoy the money, Southlake and Colleyville are REALLY nice areas, homes range from the $300s to ably over 1 million. Keller, Haslet, Argyle, and Flowermound are nice as well, more for the middle class. Haslet have very cheap taxes too. The drive from any of these places to Dallas is around 30-45 min, but very well worth it. Fort Worth areas have more of a small town have a feeling, while Dallas areas have more of a city be aware of. Good luck with your house hunt!!

I love Frisco, Plano, Dallas and Addison. All enjoy gorgeous houses and great school districts, if you have/want kids. http://www.remax.com/ <--will give a hand you find a perfect house. Frisco have a lot of younger children and Plano is one of the richier areas of the cities. Texas is a great place. Hope adjectives your dreams come true!!
If you move to an Oklahoma border town, you can pick up a whole lot on property taxes and still be roughly 1 hour 45 minutes to the DFW airport (generic Dallas Location), but that's only when you receive to Dallas, you still have several towns approaching Plano, Frisco, and Sherman. The town is Durant. It is up and coming and has comparatively a few new business' coming to town. It is a nice place to live. Check out www.durant.org
Frisco is still developing and has the largest territory area of adjectives the metroplex cities. I would look into that or Plano.

We live within Plano. Love the City. Thousands of miles of Bike paths, fantastic park system, pools, school, traffic is not too bad, it have a very capably developed system of public works.
You are close enough to be within the city yet far satisfactory out to get away from the city.
A huge Plus--the public transportation (train) stops within Plano. Not much riff raff. I will say that in attendance is a pretty diverse population though. If you want a more homogenous environment and have the money, University park might be a nice place. (please no offense)

I will vote to do your research on local property taxes though. If you are in a low property due state, you will get a HUGE shock. Average property taxes within the DFW are are about 2-3% of your property worth.
So if you buy a 300k house you will have roughly speaking 9k per year in taxes.
depends on your budget. i don't recommend arlington or grand prairie - they are getting incredibly crowded and pretty run down. ft worth and suburbs are much cheaper than the dallas area. stay north - that's where on earth the growth is. keller, justin, southlake in ft worth. coppell, addison, plano contained by dallas.
Check out McKinney. It is the fastest growing city in the USA right immediately.
