If you have in the future to spend contained by New York City, what would you do?
Starting and ending contained by Grand Central Station, I'm planning a trip for tomorrow. What are some feasible option for a walking (subway/bus) day trip? I'm not looking for fancy restaurants or to see a show. More or smaller amount I'd like the most explosion for my (few) buck(s). Thanks!

I would buy a slice of pizza from one of the frequent pizza shoppes in the city. There's nought better than a NY slice of pizza. ;) Afterwards, I would pay the excise to go to the top of the Empire State Building but dally until it gets grey ... the city looks beautiful when it's dismal and all the lights are on. :)
i would go to the goth club but that's freshly me. I would recommend that you take surrounded by Central Park, (But be careful.) The Statue of Liberty take a long time to get a take to. (so i won't recommend it.) Coney Island is a long subway ride, but worth the trip. Um... I guess it depends on what you want to do there.

* Walk across 42nd to 5th Avenue - check out the New York Public Library and Bryant Park
* Walk uptown on 5th Avenue and see the stores and Rockefeller Center
* At 59th Street & 5th Avenue - hop into the expire of Central Park for a nice walk or purely sit and relax for a few minutes of rest
* Walk east on 59th Street (or 57th Street) to 2nd Avenue and ride the Roosevelt Island Tram over and back.
* Walk or ride uptown and check out the United Nations on 42nd & 1st Avenue.
* Walk subsidise across 42nd Street to Grand Central
