How to go and get out of town from JFK?
I want to drive from JFK to Niagara Falls, most likely endorsement through Binghamton. I hope to leave JFK around 1pm on a Monday surrounded by July. Please tell me the best route to bear to avoid traffic and delays out of the NYC nouns:
1) 678 to White Plains, then 287/87 to 17 ??
2) Across Staten Island or Manhattan?
3) Some other route?

I've done this route a few times.
JFK Take 678 to Grand Central Parkway, then onto the Triborough bridge into Manhattan. You will exit onto 125th street, but don't help yourself to that exit, instead go onto the Harlem River Drive. This take you up to the George Washington Bridge. Cross using the upper deck and get bad on the Palisades Parkway Exit. Go north on the parkway about 20 miles afterwards look for NYS Thruway 287/87. Go about 30 miles to Route 17 which will be Woodbury Commons. Avoid speeding right after Suffern as near are tons of cops tagging drivers heading up to Woodbury. Take 17 and avoid speeding until you get olden Middletown. There is a lot of construction along that stretch where on earth you will pass Goshen and Florida. After Middletown you are fine. At Binghamton travel North on 81 North to Syracuse... Avoid speeding once you turn off on to 81 for in the region of 20 miles... cops are tagging kids driving to Ithaca and Cornell along here. Once you hit syracuse look for I-690 North and then onto I-90 to Buffalo...

Manhattan to Woodbury 1.5 hours
Woodbury to Binghamton 1.5 hours
Binghamton to Syracuse 1.5 hours
Syracuse to Buffalo 2 hours
I net one stop for gas along the way contained by Syracuse. I drive this route in the middle of the dark when there are no cops, but during the time you have to becareful.
