Personally, I am a Disney enthusiast. However, since you only enjoy 2 days, I advise going to Universal. Here's a great knit to help plan: http://www.allearsnet.com/uni/uni.htm

Your best bet is to stay on-property at one of their three hotels, The Portofino Bay Hotel, The Hard Rock Hotel and The Royal Pacific Resort. You will acquire "front-of-the-line" privileges for staying on-property. Universal has two focus parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, and there is also CityWalk, beside restaurants, shopping, and a movie theater.

The reason I would recommend Universal is because contained by two days, you can pretty well cover both parks and return with a good experience. Also, it will be a great deal easier to plan Universal than Disney. Disney takes a more planning ahead, and it's so much bigger that you patently need more than 2 days to procure anywhere close to seeing it. Universal has more thrill rides than Disney, also, and beside you having no children next to you, you might appreciate that.

Be sure you ride Spiderman at Islands of Adventure. It's amazing!
I, too, am a Disney enthusiast, so I can't imagine NOT doing Disney. Since you merely have 2 days, you won't see much of Disney, but I would devote respectively day to one park, possibly Epcot and MGM. Relax and enjoy what you find.

Universal is fun, too, but I prefer Disney.

Then again, you can avoid the parks adjectives together. Go to Dixie Stampede, Ripley's, Pirate Dinner, or any number of restaurants or attractions.

Buying a one day Park Hopper for Disney and a 1 year, 2 park pass for Universal is going to be pricey. A soon Park Hopper at Disney allows you to visit more than one Disney park a year, but it costs $119 PER PERSON. A two day Park Hopper at Disney is $189. A sooner or later, one park pass is $71, and a two hours of daylight, one park per day is $141. Universal have a two day unlimited declaration of guilt ticket that must be purchased two days before the first call in (you can buy online) that is $87 per grown; it is $97 at the gate on year of use. A one day, two park ticket is $76 and a sometime, one park is $66.

While Universal tickets are less expensive, the undamaged effect is less expensive. Universal have more 'thrill rides', but little else. Disney had numurous rides, shows, and awesome shopping and dining. I would recommend going to Disney, and getting a two hours of daylight base exceed (one park per day) and doing one day at Magic Kingdom (it have alot of rides and a couple of shows) and one day at Epcot. Epcot have two sections, Future World and World Showcase. Future World have some cool rides like Soarin' (which simulates a hangliding ride over California), Test Track (simulates what cars budge through for safety testing), and Mission: Space (simulates a space flight to Mars), and have awesome dining and shopping in the World Showcase. There are countries represented similar to the UK, Canada, France, Italy, America, Germany, Japan, China, Norway, and Mexico. There are great full service restaurants in respectively country (I can recommend Le Cellier, a steakhouse in Canada, and Biergarten, a buffet within Germany) and great shops with authentic merchandise (best shop IMHO is Mitsukoshi Department store surrounded by Japan).

If you are a AAA member, you can acquire a decent discount on Disney tickets. You can purchase Disney tickets through disneyworld. com and Universal tickets at universalorlando. com. Check out allearsnet. com and mousesavers. com for info on Disney parks and resorts, and mousesavers may enjoy discount codes and instructions for purchase for AAA member tickets. I can also recommend a obedient Disney travel agent, Kingdom Konsultants at kingdomkonsultants.com and they can help you best plan your short trip, lacking a fee!
It really all depends on what loving of fun you and your husband are into. If you are Thrill Seekers, I recommend Universal Orlando as it has the most "Adult" fun, however Disney is other a must-see, specially if you've never been to Disney earlier.
With 2 Days, What I would recommend, is getting a 1 Day Hopper for Disney, that way you can drop by Magic Kingdom's attractions, plus other major attractions within the other Disney Theme Parks. If you go untimely enough, and specially during September, you can probably see the best attractions from Walt Disney World. The Second Day, I would do indistinguishable but with a Universal Orlando 1 Day-2 Parks Ticket. This method you can also visit both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure surrounded by one day.
With so much to do and see within one day, you might be awfully tired by the time you get posterior to your hotel, however if you feel up to it, Orlando have lots of Night Entertainment including Night Clubs, Dinner Shows and more.
