How cold will New York be surrounded by January? I'm staying at the Grand Hyatt is that also nice?

It is VERY cold in January surrounded by New York. You'll need a really thaw coat and some boots (just in crust it snows).The Grand Hyatt is a really nice place. It's beautiful and the location is a not detrimental area!
The Grand Hyatt is lovely...stayed there just now. Very convenient to transportation because Grand Central Station is next door.
