compared to the rest of the region property taxes contained by the city are pretty low, outside of the city you might get a clad public school system for your taxes, contained by the city you have to dispatch the kids to private or parochial school. NY metro aea is a bit more expensive than other parts of the US , but that's impose NYC is the center of the universe and it's worth it.

Was born here & my ancestral is very in the neighbourhood. I grew up in Queens & in a minute live in Manhattan where on earth I've lived for about 14 years. It be much less expensive later...we were surrounded by a recession then. The property taxes are remarkably high here.
I live contained by a coop apt. I work in mental form & don't make that much money. I sometimes turn to eat out next to friends, go to free concerts, things resembling that...don't know how much longer I'll be able to afford to lice here:-(
I moved here to walk to College and loved it here. I felt I be meant to live here, and I basically stayed. That was 30 years ago. I still love it!
I live surrounded by a three story house, with lots of room (but a postage stamp small patio.) It wasn't expensive by NYC standards when I bought it 6 years ago, but since then, prices hold gone up so much in my neighborhood, it's probably more than doubled within value. I could not own afforded it today.
I am an elementary school professor in the NYC public school. I do not make a ton of money. My husband make a little bit more, but not like mad. We are not rich.
We have two kids, and both be in motion to public schools. I hold not needed to transport them to private schools! I own been drastically happy beside the education they hold been getting.
As a kith and kin, we go to the theater habitually (not Broadway too much, but then Broadway is mostly for tourists now, anyway.) We go out to dinner a LOT! We be in motion to museums a lot, too.
Well i similar to it a lot. It is be graffiti started and a lot of pretty girls its mode of hard to live near i went threw like mad of problems but i guess it makes you stronger and close to they say you cause it in tentative york you can make it anywere
i live in fresh york, newyork and its nice if you dont live in the harlem i live surrounded by harlem and people draw from shot there everyday but outside of harlem its nice and expensive especially manhattan
I was born and raise here... lived all over the world and other come back to NYC! I work surrounded by financial services and have a great apt... if you're getting contained by on the ground floor someplace you'll probably need a roommate or 2!
I live here because I dreamed of it as a child. I other wanted to live contained by NYC. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment surrounded by Williamsburg, Brooklyn that costs $963/month. I've had it for almost 11 years. I hold a roommate that pays half the rent. I get rid of stuff online as my occupation.
Do you mean the state or the city? Big difference. Both are expensive though, dignified property taxes.
