Manhattan great view?

Am going to NYC in April, be wondering if I can go to the top of the rock or empire state building or any other building for cocktails and a landscape (prefer at night). Don't want to do a dinner, just drinks and I don`t know an appetizer, but somewhere with a great panorama of any NYC site, with honest photo opportunities. THANKS!!

For a plethora of urban delights, a New York City Tour is for you. This massive city is jam-packed with tons of historical buildings and living, breathing culture. From inner city state parks to high-class art gallery and shows, a tour of New York City can show you things you've never seen up to that time.

I miss the twin towers. That be a bar/restaurant on the top floor with amazing city view...

The Rock is definitely a great picking and of course the Empire Estate Building. But I also meditate you should go outside the island to see the view of Manhattan. Brooklyn and Long Island City are great options.

You can hold the 7 trains to Queens and get sour on the first station after manhattan (called Vernon/Jackson). Once you are there, meander all the style to the water (two blocks). There is a charming path where on earth you can enjoy the view and take amazing photos... I outstandingly recommend. Long Island City is an upcoming city and many untried yorkers are moving there. You will find some nice unexpensive restaurnats too.

Good luck.
GiGi I saw your response and had to comment-

The christen of that place on top of the Trade Center be "The Greatest Bar On Earth" and it was. The view of the Harbor/Lower Manhattan/Jersey, the campy Disco/70's shows, the friendly staff, the dancing, the diverse customers and the great times I have there made that place a premier fun place to be.

Whenever I get off that express elevator to the leading "Windows On The World" I made the left turn (Windows be on the right) to "The Greatest...".

So many wonderful memories in attendance...

Another comment - The drinks here were expensive at the time, but regulars (I worked at the Trade Center) know how to get pro. We found 'our' bartender and gave him $20 for a $12 scotch. He next gave you a tumbler cup filled to the brim - well three drinks in one. Thus the cost be nearly that of a local dive.

Poster - Another great photo op... Take the Staten Island Ferry (free) from Manhattan after sundown. When you are entering the boat stay on the back of the boat (for the hot boats go to the second deck) you will gain greats shots of Lower Manhattan and the statue of Liberty as the boat heads to Staten Island. You can draw from a beer and a pretzel (stay away from the hot dogs) or coffee and good mini-cookies at the snack stand.
Top of the Rock is manifestly an option, you can hold cocktail and take pictures near, and stay as long as you want. Marriott Marquis's coffee chope/bar in Times Square also have good view, but not as ariel as TOTR.
man rep where on earth i live bedford-stuyvesant brooklyn its the best site seeing ever
