Where can we see SNOW close Sacramento, CA?
We are from a tropical country,I want my children to see snow,or throw snow balls,but we are surrounded by Sacramento.Where is the nearest place where we can see/experience snow? There are 4 of us, so its expensive to travel out of state by plane.We can drive do enjoy a GPS.

You could go somewhere resembling Truckee (it's about an hour away) which is on the passageway to Reno, NV, You just pinch the 80 E. Or you could head over to South Lake Tahoe which is gorgeous and nearly 2 hours away. To get within you can take the 50 towards S. Lake Tahoe.
You may want to check weather websites to see where on earth there is if truth be told snow right now, though. I'm not sure if any of those places currently enjoy snow.

Definitely Tahoe. I hear they've been using man-made snow lately because of the dry winter, but they're expecting authentic snow Real Soon Now.

I don't think there's anwhere close... you could travel up a few states.
Or stir to Canada, it's always snowing surrounded by Canada... they live in igloos and travel by dogsled you know.
Go drive to some mountains. Try the ice skating rink, it's relative, or possibly a ski / snowboarding place. Oregon, or mantana gets snow usually further into the winter. If not Canada other works!

You can drive up to Lake Tahoe. And not only do they simply have snow, but essentially formed ice rinks.

Sat 12/1 Well they said it was snowing contained by Reno, Nevada yesterday, so I would assume it also is snowing in Tahoe, Nevada, But you should check the weather reports, as it can regulation on a hour to hour basis. Either drive up Hwy 50 or I-80
Check the reporters, Internet, or TV for weather forcasts for those two area's. Either would be about 2 hours East of Sacramento by vehicle,

Sequoia National Park, in close proximity Fresno. It is a beautiful place, and at 7000 foot, you have a reasonably good luck of seeing snow. But the roads are sometimes closed. I would go within just to see the world's biggest trees and the snow is a bonus. You enjoy to see General Sherman, the tree that weighs as much as three loaded Boeing 747s.
Right now in that is no snow near Sac. Weather.com is predicting precipitation and snow showers around Dec 7 but since they are saying showers and precipitation it really wont be worth seeing, just gray slushy stuff. Some of the ski resorts are making for a moment snow but I don't think in attendance is enough for them to allow you to be in motion play in it. From Sacramento you can whip I-80 east or Highway 50 east into the sierras and find Snow when its there. If your here for a little you might miss it, if you are living in Sac consequently just be long-suffering, watch the local communication weather forcasts, it will be big news when a storm hits and drops perfect snow. Wait until the storm passes a daylight or two then leader east and you will find it.
There has not be much snow in the Sierra Nevada so far, although it may be snowing very soon. Usually, that is the closest place.
One other choice is to shift north, to Mount Lassen National Park (It is not an easy drive to amount out, but your GPS should be able to do it.) Make sure you enjoy a place to stay outside the National Park, because it is not open above the snow queue in the winter.
Another place to drive to is Mt. Shasta, to hand Redding. Stay in the lower nouns, and drive up on the mountain to find snow.
Both of these places have reliable snow. You can run there near a single overnight stay from Sacramento.
