Does Anybody know if The Excelsior district surrounded by San Francisco is a well brought-up nouns for a family circle?
I've only lived within the city for 1 year and we are moving for the first time. we founf the perfect house, but its surrounded by the excesior district. like i said i haven't be here long so i don'y know if its a good ares or not. i enjoy a 5 year old and a 13 and i have need of to know if it would be safe for them to progress out and take the bus for my 13 year infirm or just put your foot to the park. please tell me adjectives u know

I live contained by the Excelsior and have done so adjectives my life. It have one of largest populations of families within SF. I believe it is safe, but stuff does arise as it does in the rest of the city. It's adjectives about one proactive. Like anywhere you go, you enjoy to watch your kids. Anything can crop up anywhere.
All buses in the city are ify. I've see more security on them surrounded by recent months. For younger kids, I'd advise them to sit effective the driver. I take the buses everyday and own never had a problem or see any major incidents. I run to park often too to way of walking my dog. It's cleaned up a lot within the past few years but I walk off before sundown.

I really do love my neighborhood and couldn't assume living anywhere else in the city. It have wonderful diversity and many family. These are the things quickly disappearing from the rest of San Francisco.
It's a district of modest wealth by SF standards, but within is lots of home ownership and lots of children.
However, certain section can be sketchy, crime-wise. And avoid the park at night.
It certainly wouldn't be my first choice. I disagree beside the first person... nearby are many great areas to lift a family surrounded by San Francisco. Having kids in the city exposes them to much, so various different people, and develops so much *humanity*. The Peninsula/suburbs is boring and sheltered, and while you may own a yard and a 2 saloon garage for SUVs, they'll be missing so much the city has to submission.
That said... Excelsior does have a rational amount of kids, as it's cheap and largely Hispanic (...Note before anyone jump on that: yeah, stereotype... Hispanic people hold lots of kids, blah blah blah. But it's true... and I'm part Hispanic and grew up around that side of the relations most, so...). However, it also has a fiesta amount of crime, and it directly borders the WORST area contained by the entire city (Visitacion Valley/Bayview/Hunter's Point). Lots of gang activity, especially former times few years. The majority of the city's homicides happen surrounded by that general nouns (favoring the Bayview/Hunter's Point side).
But... some areas are better than others. The further West you get from McLaren Park, the better. Some areas are terribly nice and family-centric, and are actually really rad. Others... not so much.
Basically... Excelsior itself isn't the best nouns, but it's not so bad, any. But some of the areas bordering it can be really bad... and even surrounded by the neighborhood itself, I wouldn't wanna walk down the wrong street at dark.
SF is not considered a correct city for a family, excelsior is no3 to no 4 worst nouns in the city, most residents are black and asian spanking new immigrants.
If you want to biddable for your family, try peninsular nouns and san ramon valley surrounded by east bay.
