Harvard Tour?
Im going on a tour of Harvard with my father this week. Im untried to college tours so if anyone has ever be can you give me some pointers on how to be well-run? Good Restaurants? Shops? Parking? Maps? Directions? Outfit? Anything?
I already did alot of research online and i got some stuff i purely want to get some well-mannered info from people who hold been

Well from a purely asthetic standpoint, Harvard's business school is the most superb area, it have the most manicured lawns and flower beds you'll find surrounded by Harvard... To get here walk south from the Harvard Square nouns on JFK street... you'll cross the bridge (and actually be within Boston, no longer Cambridge)... the stadium will be on your right and on your left will be the business academy. This is probably one of the best place for taking pictures of you or whoever while at Harvard... the library make a very honest back ground and unlike other parts of Harvard this nouns is much less crowded so you don't carry everyone and his dog in the photo as ably.
For parking your best bet is the parking garage on the corner of Eliot and JFK street... while you might find very constrained street parking I wouldn't count on it... street parking is easiest to find on the south side of the Charles River close to the B school, parking within Cambridge is risky since there are special permit required less you could appendage up towed.
Food is just a business of preference... If you want tex mex, try the Border Cafe... if you want the burger and fries try Charlies kitchen... for other ethnic even-handed such as Thai and Indian.. any choice is good...
The most extensive logo merchandise is going to be contained by the Coop... however it doesn't actually keeping everything... for example some Harvard Business School items can be found in the Coop at the B arts school campus that aren't available at the main Coop surrounded by the Square... you will likely find the best price at any place except the Coop unless they are having a public sale.
If the college is offering guided tours when you are there you might want to filch one if its a short one... but the main problem is the characteristic of those tours ranges from horrible to great it just depends on the entity giving it... no real ability control on those things...
Now... one last word on safekeeping... Harvard is very protected during the day... I've be all over and around the place contained by the daylight by myself and had no problems... I would however not suggest you step out and about at shadows unless you know where you are going. places that are undisruptive in the daylight are not other safe at darkness. The east foot bridge across the Charles on the eastern most side of the B school is one such place... while without blemish safe surrounded by the day, it have been a prime target for muggers at hours of darkness. In general if you are going to be out and just about at night stay hard by the square and you'll have nil to worry around.
