Why do New Yorkers imagine New York is the center of the universe.?
I really can't understand it. I told my friend I am going to grad college in Boston and he said "why not New york?" I really don't infer what is the big deal. I ask him and he say "to party your existence away "and I say "is that adjectives you can say for NYC?" I know they enjoy all kind of cultures and things to do but they are not the only place and it is annoying for him to relate me I am young and don't know any better. Wow I didn't know partying be the one thing go had to proffer me.
So what are the advantages and disadvantages of living in New York City over another city (not a small town)?
I can't really trust him to administer me the whole estimation since he wants to be right.
I am applying to NYU but it is not on the top of my detail because I am not dying to live in New York and I am not that excited just about their program.

In many ways New York is the the center of the universe .It is beyond a doubt the most culturally diverse city contained by the world and at last count something close to 170 different languages be spoken in it. If you do forays out into the mixed ethnic neighborhoods you can literally eat and shop your bearing around the world w/o leaving the city restrictions.
If you live in the NYU nouns you will find yourself completely immersed in a really interesting urban area-that you could spend much of your free-time exploring on foot-cars attain in the instrument leave yours at home
As far as group towns go Boston doesn't tender up much to NYC in that respect except i reflect that the bars close ahead of time.
Check out both cities ,interview at both programs and see which one meets your wants best
Just so you know Amtrak operates nearly 15 trains a day between NYC and Boston

NYC is the center of Finance, Fashion, Advertising, Media and many other things.
If your focus contained by life is on one of those things, it is the center of the Universe.
However if your focus isn't , it isn't.
If your dream surrounded by life is to come up beside a more productive strain of corn or wheat. I don't think you will be capable of fulfill your dream in NYC. Probably do better surrounded by Des Moines, Iowa.

I am from Chicago and I used to ask impossible to tell apart question. I after moved to New York... on accident... and I begin to feel matching way. I no longer live here and I miss it every single day. I am not a gala person, but it have a pulse. The city is alive and alike no other, even in the burroughs. Chicago never excited me the style New York City and Brooklyn does!
There is everything and every kind of party there. However, I am equally impressed beside Boston, though I have not lived in that. I think Boston is much cleaner and lovely. Choose the school for you, the go to follow will all tumble into place.

b) you can go to a tape of lots of TV shows instead of working on your thesisises

p.s What do you mean you can't trust him to afford you "the whole scene?" There is no such thing, not coming from a mortal mortal. Edit: I think I see the problem.your friend does not mull over it is important for a woman to enjoy an education.. partying is fine.resourcefully, just consent to it go...he is not right, if i.e. what he is thinking. You need the best eduction you can find.
Choose the college that best meet your needs. Partying surrounded by a college town no matter where on earth it is should not be a priority in your choosing. Boston have plenty to offer and if you really consistency the need to look in New York City do it during one of your breaks.
