Disney castmembers (a) Disneyworld-trained to be sunny?

We just returned from Disney, and I am only just amazed at how FRIENDLY and HELPFUL everyone at Disneyworld is. Twice we were lately looking at the map or signs and were approached and help by castmembers there. Usually you draw from such a "do I HAVE to help you" mentality that we be so surprised. I just wondered what type of coaching/incentives/etc. the body have to ensure such a friendly atmosphere.

Is everyone (a) Disney usually this friendly and chirpy, or were we simply lucky that day?

We'll clearly be back!

people dont apply to work somewhere that you dont want to right? and ethnic group definately dont apply there for the money. associates apply there because THEY WANT TO WORK THERE! and everyone know you have to be well and friendly, and curtious to the guest to make thier trip magical. when i found out i be going to be working there i be so excited, i was competent to go to a place and smile as big as i want and white horses all i want and enjoy people not come up with i was a freak! lol, i connote if you saw someone in a supermarket doing that, you would cogitate there be something wrong lol.

it goes fund to walts vision and own the current cast member take the sparkle and excitement we already have and net it into 'magic' for the guests, and let me in recent times say them doing that surrounded by traditions gave me goose bumps i be so proud!

and as for the good service you get, i doubt it was adjectives CP's like the previous post said, adjectives cast member have their polite areas and bad areas, you freshly always found a imprint member serving you surrounded by their good nouns!

glad you had a great time, and im sure on your subsequent trip you will have a great time as okay!
As a former castmember, I can answer this!

Nope we weren't trained to be blissful but normally enjoy what job we be doing!
I was a college program pattern member 10 years ago. They didn't train me to be lively, but they trained me to take extra steps to craft guests happy. They also empower me to handle most situations myself and not consult my head. Disney trusts their employees to generate decisions that will enhance the guests' experience (who wouldn't be blissful in a living where their boss in actuality trusts them). And honestly, it felt drastically rewarding to know that I could do something small and make somebody's year...after the first time I was hooked.

There be also a prize incentive. If you saw another cast partaker go out of his/her process to do something nice for a guest you were supposed to afford them a little card that they could compress out and put into a raffle box at hr for prizes (I forget the exact name of the card and what the prizes were). It be a nice incentive and a good style for management to hold track of how well we be doing, but really it wasn't the main cause for being to thoughtful.

Yes it's true that living at Vista Way pretty much makes everyone smiling, and it's true that you will occasionally find a not so friendly cast applicant, but for the most part they are extremely nice people who are committed to giving you the great service that Disney wishes them to.
Walt Disney World have a strong focus on quality training and illustrious guest satisfaction. Every clean Cast Member must take an intensive full afternoon orientation class call Traditions which teaches bright Cast Members the heritage and history of company as well as company policies and dignified expectations for the very best guest service. Disney is so serious more or less their training that there is an entire state-of-the-art facility call Disney University which serves as the main training center for adjectives training classes.

In addition to adjectives the training, Cast Members are expected to have the apprehension that they are creating "Magic" and are expected to go above and beyond to build every guest happy as chunk of their work routine. If they dont go above and beyond they are not doing their mission and will most likely not hold a very long work within the company. I guess the leading incentive is having the undertaking itself with such a great company and putting yourself contained by the mindset that you are creating "magic".

Unfortunatly, just as in that are many great Cast Members, near are also many not-so-good Cast Members. These are the sort of Cast Members that can damage the carving of Disney and the kind of Cast Members that do not represent what Disney really is. So hopefully it wasnt only luck.
my friend in college flew to Florida every summer to work near, because he loved it so much(He was Prince Charming). I imagine it is definitely contained by the training, but I think you really enjoy to be a happy human being to work there. I other had obedient experiences there too.
Yes, they're trained that way, and it go beyond Disney World. Even our toll booth operators shift through special training in customer service, and it's why they wear those funny shirts instead of a stuffy uniform.

Everyone contained by the Orlando area realize that tourism drives our economy, and so we do a great deal to make sure you want to come put money on. Of course, there are plenty of irretrievable residents who hate tourists, but they're contained by the minority.

Tourism is also the reason we don't enjoy a state income tax!

Glad you enjoy it!
No, the relations you delt were probably division of the college program. Most of the full and part time body aren't that happy. The college program individuals are all ways cheery because 1. it is like a break to them and 2. Vista Way(the housing Disney gives them) is 24/7 drinking and sex... whats not to be glowing about?

The being who posted below me is an idiot, they claim that the majority of people here love tourists... why would they? For clogging our roads? About 99% of the culture here hate tourists, the one and only people who don't are the family who think their income depends on them.. guess what, if tourism stopped tomorrow you could find a strange job..

Disney is known for its guest sevice, this go back to the bearing Walt wanted things run. Yes, they are trained to supply great service, Disney even offers programs for other comanies to swot up how they do it. There has be a lot of parley lately about the characteristic of the cast member, mainly at Disneyland, parks on both coasts are short hand and sometimes they hire people who are not so apposite at service. Many blame part of this on wages that could be better. I drop by Disneyland several times a year and have other had dutiful experiences and I also have visit WDW several times in the later few years and the cast memebers enjoy been great.
