Yes, it does snow. They do have a winter advisory for tonight. Though within is no snow right now. The major pass to Reno (Interstate 80) have many slow downs and chains are required most of the time to miss. The road is wide but can be treacherous for the unexperienced snow driver. Lots of accident.

I also looked at the webcam for Squaw Valley ski area, and in attendance seems to be no snow here either. (There are years they hold good skiing Thanksgiving weekend.)
If you are discussion generally, yes, it does snow some surrounded by Reno, although it's protected from most of the precipitation by the mountains. If you head into the mountains from near, like Truckee and the ski areas, in attendance can be LOTS of snow. (The ski area owners sure hope so!)
