How can I know East or West if some one for eg. say start going West on the Clinton Street? Pls insist on.?

Many street signs have a directional notation. Say for instance that if you are contained by the 1000 block of west Sepulveda. the sigh will say W. Sepulveda blvd.

Of course here is always the ancient stand bye... The sun sets in the west and rises within the east. Of course that won't help you greatly at high twelve noon.
