Where can I go and get the best judgment of Las Vegas from the desert?
Alright, I want to take a KILLER photograph of Las Vegas from the point of picture of the desert. Here's what I'm looking for:
Sunset, the glittering city in the distance, the barren desert within the foreground.
Where's a good place to start?? Mind you, I've never in actual fact been to Las Vegas formerly (which is strange considering I was born and raise in Reno)
Thank you!

Drive adjectives the way up Lake Mead Blvd to Hollywood. You're going up a mound and you'l lget a great view of Vegas and the sunset.
For a good shot of the city, I found my best scene to be from taking a drive to the east in North Las Vegas, to where on earth I am up on the hill looking down over Vegas ( in that isn't much desert in the foreground nearby, but a pretty shot. North on I-15
will take you to more desert for a foreground. North Las Vegas Blvd runs parallel to that and is smaller number travelled. Go out Las Vegas Blvd past Nellis AFB. Another concept is to go to Stateline and progress up the Mountain, just into California, to be exact I-15 South. Northview shot. For the KILLER, call Guido.
Several areas. You can see it from Mt. Charleston. Or contained by the eastern range (Sunset Mtn.). Or you can walk up the Stratosphere and check out the Strip. But the mountain ranges are always well-mannered. But bring binoculars.
I agree...interstate 15...the northbound side on the hillock just as the outlook of Las Vegas comes into site...it's awesome!
BUT you have to fence in it just at the right time...to impulsive and the uglier views will show (and not satisfactory glittering lights)...too late and you won't be capable of see the barren desert because it will be too dark.
Go out Interstate 15 roughly 10 -20 south from vegas. It will amaze you.
