My favorite romantic experience ever next to visiting NYC is the trip out of the city via the nearest available tunnel or bridge...anything...only just get me out.I can't rob it . PLEASE!

It's christmas time, so take a saunter by the shops on fifth avenue, then see the tree at rockefeller center and walk ice skating- beside some hot chocolate on the side. You can always move about to the top of the Empire State Building, too.
Pick something she's interested in-museums can actually be a great date, try the MOMA or the Met. When it's a bit furnace, the Bronx Zoo and the Botannical Gardens are surprisingly fun and romantic as well, although not contained by that cliche, carriage ride method. For something silly, stop by FAO Schwartz or get cupcakes at Magnolia bakery within the village. Sometimes the most appealing times are at unexpected places.
For regular romance beyond horse-drawn carriage rides and ice skating, I'd suggest going out for an evening of jazz music. I would reccommend Dizzy's Club Coca Cola at lincoln center. It have a breathtaking view, excellent food, and some top-notch jazz performances. It's a thoroughly classy and romantic date. Iridium has a nice, intimate underground atmosphere as very well.
