Disney dining reservations for cease of August?
We are going to WDW the last week of August for the free dining plan. How busy are they afterwards? Do we really need to reserve dinner every hours of darkness ahead of time? I'm booking a character breakfast or lunch ahead, but otherwise the thought of planning every dinner 4 months ahead of time doesn't appeal.
Answers:
RESERVE NOW! You are going during the free dining plan.
I've done this 3 times now during the free dining plan---the restaurants plague up very like a shot. We booked ahead of time and had no problem, but we watch many hungry family get fustrated at the reality that they couldn't get into the restaurants short reservations.
Now--this does not mean that you cannot modification them.
Any customer service center at Disney can check or change these reservations for you. We be able to adjust one reservation from Japan to Canada while we were in attendance. However, we could not get into Mexico for a second dark becuase it was booked.
Save yourself the trouble and reserve in a minute.
Go to allears.net (formerly wdwig.com)
They schedule all of the restaurants near their updated menus.
If you enjoy specific places you would like to dine I would BOOK NOW! Pleases such as Cinderalla's Royal Table book up as rash as 6 months to a year in finance! If you are aren't picky then I would right to be heard wait until the week back or when you get at hand.
I would highly recommend Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary resort for your behaviour breakfast! Great basic characters you can capture out of the way and EXCELLENT FOOD!
Other recommendation would be:
Coral Reef-Epcot
Prime Time Cafe-Disney's Hollywood Studios
I be there for chunk of Free Dining last year and we saw family being turned away at several restaurants. I would highly recommend making your reservations as soon as possible. My notion is always that I would fairly have a reservation and not requirement it than need a reservation and not own it.
Yes, I would do it. That is during the free Disney Dining period and the sit down places will be booked and probably will not allow any hoof it ins. Normally, not all places necessitate to be reserved so far in credit, but I would urge you to do it in your armour. In most cases you can book 180 days in credit.
You can check out restaurant prices and menus at allears.net to facilitate you decide.
If you want to be sure that you have sit down meal...you really do have to engender your reservations now. This is because the plan is so popular--even when race have to pay packet for it!! that you have to brand name reservations to be sure you get a form
If you are willing to chomp through counter service, you can skip the reservations. You can also make reservations and end them if you turn out to not be in the mood. Very few meal will charge a no-show fee, and they bring up to date you when you make the reservations.

Trust me book early. my clan went on a trip and we lone booked character dinning. There be so much stress. It may seem approaching a hassle but do it now. The time you are going is still contained by the peak season, but it have less family than June/July.
Good luck and have fun.
