I will be within New York Nov. 1 ...I am going to see Ave. Q the play and stay surrounded by Manhattan at Boyfriends friends?
What should I pack ...for the play ... a nice restraunt and just walking around .. Nov. 1 - Nov 6 are the date ...whats the weather like? I'm thinking from adjectives the answers on this page to pack an umbrella .Help ...I don't want to look like an idiot ...lol

You want some semi-formal attire for the play/dinner.
Early Nov might not be fur weather all the same, perhaps an umbrella and/or over coat.
Bring both a desk light coat and a heavier winter coat as that is right around when the weather change and it could get thoroughly cold at night. As for the theater and dinner, nice pant or skirt would be appropriate. People do wear jeans these days, but it really isn't appropriate and other makes me cringe.
