Try the Huntington Library and Gardens surrounded by San Marino or the Getty/Getty Villa in Brentwood.
The Wayfarer's Chapel within Rancho Palos Verdes is also beautiful.
Barb, I hold been taking pics of L.A. for a long time and I enjoy a real problem beside the weather and smog messing up my pics from almost any location. I have to delete the colossal majority of my pics because they are not up to standards.I would try the hill that Getty Center is on if you can draw from the smog and weather to cooperate..Good Luck, and Good shooting...
A honourable photographer can find their own hotspots- you could have the most amazing vista infront of you and still get a crappy picture.
If you want a TRUE picture then find the place yourself- there's loads contained by L.A.- just lug a trip and use your eyes :)
El Matador Beach contained by Malibu. Stunning cliffs, Pacific Ocean, reflecting light, the shoreline ... very nice

Yes! All of LA County is occupied with great photo ops, from the mountains to the desert to the the deep, from Skid Row to Beverly Hills, and all places within between. Just set out, and you will find something wonderful, guaranteed. Be sure to include people.

a good place would be that exposition park because the senery is totally beautyfull and there is plenty of space
