Things to see/do contained by Boston?
I'm going to Boston for the first time for a "guys weekend" with my dad and brother to lock in a Sox/Yankees game contained by September. What sites, attractions, restaurants, etc. should we be sure to check out while we're there if we just have a sunshine and a half? We're at hand from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning, staying in downtown (South End). Thanks.

So much to see. Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere House, North End, the scrutiny deck in the Prudential Building, JFK Library to dub a few. You also have Harvard University and MIT simply across the Charles River in Cambridge.

Newbury Street is fun for walking around. Check out Downtown Crossing, the Commons, the aquariam, the warf nouns.
I'm going to platform my suggestions on your schedule/limited amount of time. Since you likely want to see the sights but time is short, I'd start beside a Duck tour. I recommend this often anyway as it is a great method to get a grain for the city, see all the leading historical spots, and take a nice ride on the Charles since it's an amphibian vehicle. On Friday night I'd suggest you person in charge over to Fanuil Hall. It's the old markplace nouns that is immediately filled beside restaurant, tons of yummy food vendors, stores, pushcarts and in attendance are always tons of outdoor free entertainment. And it's right by the harbor, so if you hold time you can take a nice meander and check it out (maybe even one of the hour long boat harbor cruises if you feel approaching it). And the North End, our little Italy, is an easy pretty hike (esp if you go via the Harbor), & close to Fanuil Hall, so you might want to stir there for dessert, or dinner but it can be pricey for dinner. At Fanuil Hall you can choose everything surrounded by every price range. Harvard Sq is other a lot of fun, esp within the warmer weather, but I'd choose Fanuil Hall first truthfully.
If it's a dark game you might be nontoxic to do an early duck tour that light of day, but be sure to leave lots of time. There are tons of bar and restaurants a stone's throw from Fenway, so I'd suggest hanging out nearby after the game. Things will be hopping. If you want to provide an idea of what type of bar you like, I could suggest some to hand there. But jammy to just pace down Landsdown St and Brookline ave and see what hits you. Jillian's is always a correct spot. I prefer Game On when the game ISN'T on lol. The Cask is a cool pub. And if you are into beer than Boston Beer Works might be a correct choice.
You might want to do a Sunday brunch on one of the outdoor cafe's on Newbury street.good nation watching, or maybe check out Harvard Sq next before heading out.

For ex you might want to go to the North End or Harvard Sq after the winter sport then. Fanuil Hall is angelic for all ages and adjectives things, so that suggestion works no matter what!
There's tons more to do as expected, but like I said, these are how I'd plan a weekend if I have friends coming up for that time period. Of course if you own any special interests you might want to add something else. I'm sure you'll enjoy a blast no matter what you move about with!
When I be there for the first time I made it a point to look in Salem, Mass. It was really cool near and has alot of history apparently also the House of the Seven Gables is there. But I love history so if you are looking for guy things to do I cant comfort you out there.
If you are there for a Sox/Yankees activity, you need to be at the stadium as soon as you possibly can. Eat and drink at adjectives the bars around the stadium up til gametime. I be there within June for the series. So much fun. If you are looking for a good place to munch through, head towards the Harbor for vastly good/nice places.
Cambridge is also very nice. It have more of a rustic feel. There will be tons places to eat and drink here. If anyone with you is a history nut, follow the freedom trail through downtown to see the most historic sites of the city.

Do you Love Italian food? Then you only have to shift to Maggiano's Little Italy..Park Sq.it's right in the South End. The food's Awesome, the Atmosphere, Music, even the servers are the best...terribly knowledgeable.. Reminds me of a place right out of Italy. Just a suggestion
