What are some pros and cons of living within nevada?

A few responses:

#1: it cracks me up that populace who live here have the stupidity to complain more or less tourists. tourists are the sole reason for the great reduction here. no tourists = no vegas. sure they can be a pain but guess what, they are the grounds you have a chore, regardless of where you work or what you do.

#2: yes, at hand are dunkin donuts. there are two surrounded by henderson that i've been to, one is on gibson on the path to the dog park.

#3: umm, im sorry.. did you SERIOUSLY complain about crime surrounded by las vegas? HAHAHAHAHAHA. I grew up outside of flint/detroit just just about in the middle between the two, and this is the most rediculous point I have ever hear.. in realness, crime in las vegas will solitary find you if you go looking for it. break open your eyes honey.. there are MUCH worse places to be.

That anyone said:

Yes, summer is freakin HOT. take my advocate, tint your car window before you ruin your interior. Winter is cold, but not "Northern" cold. The curl comes off the mountains and feel like rime so don't toss out the winter coat just but. lack of state income import tax is good but it evens itself out because the cost of living is a tad greater, not SO much in housing - apaprtments are going on for the same, houses are more expensive - but you will spend more on everyday stuff, resembling food, since farming isn't indisputable big in the desert. ha.
I'm not sure how I would perceive about have kids in the public university system, keep within mind its heavily flooded with litter of border bunnies.
Vegas is very amusing for people who approaching nightlife, whether you like the touristy clubs or freshly good locals restaurants here always somewhere to stir and something to do. Becuase there are so lots people within vegas its easy to find someone else who like the same things you do.. for example if you approaching mountain climbing theres a pretty good luck your live near a place that hosts a group for it.
On alike note, at hand are casinos everywhere.. if you enjoy gaming - dont move to vegas. if you move here anyway, im not giving you money when you're holding cardboard on the corner.
pro: lots of stuff to do

con: hot
no grass and trees (well very few)
everything looks impossible to tell apart, no variety

in truth.. there are 2 dunkin donuts contained by henderson, one at ann and simmons, and one is opening at craig and jones.
I have lived within Las Vegas for over 10 years and I can tell you that it is not adjectives about strippers, having a bet and sleazy lifestyles. Las Vegas has some of the best restaurants within the U.S. It has closely more to offer approaching Mt. Charleston with snowboarding and great hiking trails and Red Rock Canyon near beautiful scenic drives, wildflowers, and more. The MGM impressive has several angelic restaurants as well as Mandalay Bay and don't forget in the order of the places off of the strip close to Green Valley Resort. It's a beautiful hotel next to lots of nice places to eat and knees-up as well. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville at the Flamingo Hilton is a great place to foxtrot, eat, and sip cool magaritas short having to be trendy or cool to get hold of in.Sports nuts will love the ESPN cafe at the New York New York. Las Vegas is also the one and only place that you can go from Paris to Italy to New York within one night. So, stroll the strip, see the fountains at Bellagio, then breakfast at the poolside cafe at the Wynn. Don't forget to move about to Town Square at the south end of the strip. It's similar to a little town next to cobblestone streets, tons of stores, restaurants, a movie theater and more. Enjoy!
Pros:

-Ditto on the no state income tax
-Supermarkets are initiate 24/7 and sell beer, wine, liquor 24/7
-Awesome weather 9 months out of the year
-Awesome sunsets and summer thunderstorms
-Very close to outlook (ie, hiking, camping, mountains, desert, 3 national parks, numerous state parks and recreation)
-Amazing view
-Cool restaurants
-You'll always find a stick with your local sports squad (because a lot of las vegans are from somewhere else)
-Beautiful state if you love the desert

Cons:

-Traffic is horrible
-Summer bake is unbearable
-Electricity is expensive
-Tourists!
-School district is close the bottom in the nation
-Crime is big (but can be avoided by living in the right areas)
-Metro police force is not strong adequate (ie, they're so busy with murders that the chance of getting someone to take a report on a stolen motor or burglary is slim)
-SMOG!
-Jim Gibbons is the governor (and probably more than 1/2 of NV would put him in the pro category)
-No Dunkin' Donuts (although supposedly they're coming)
-Health vigilance system is difficult (I'm being generous)

Hmmm... that's adjectives I can think of for the moment.

EDIT: Of course tourists are the principle lv is here, but that doesn't mean that locals hold to love them, that's why many locals avoid the strip. And my eyes are yawning open to the crime statistics, thanks). Perspective is everything. If you're moving from a sheltered place then yes in attendance is high crime but if you're moving from detroit after crime would seem really low. But try to report that to those people who live close Sahara and Nellis!
