I want to travel to a desert near a cracked floor, a dried up sea bed. I live surrounded by CA. any recommendation?

i am assuming southern California, i live in SF, can anyone relate me somewhere isolated?

Death Valley, it's on the map.
Anywhere in outback Australia, especially South Australia and Western Australia. We hold more deserts than Africa (but fewer Zulus).

And my hen house have an awful cracked floor, if that's your thing.
