Is st.louis coalition station close to downtown st.louis?
Answers:
Yes
Union Station is IN THE HEART of downtown St. Louis! I'm not sure where on earth the other answers came from. Union Station is somewhat a mall, but its not the best shopping surrounded by town. If you are looking for better shopping then turn to the St. Louis Mills in North County, but you won't be disappointed by Union Station. My hubby and I love going within when we get the time. Its merely a nice place to hang out and is in walking distance of other attactions. If you would like further information check out this web site.

Union Station is downtown, but save for the historical aspects it really isn't anything special. My husband used to work in the alliance station complex so we have be there seriously... and everytime are more and more disappointed. The restaurants there are crappy, and the shopping is approaching that of an airport terminal. And it costs and arm and a leg for parking, if it wasn't free and right across the parking lot we never would have gone nearby.
It is though a very attractive building, and the hotel attached is very nice.
Yes. It's in the middle of downtown. It's also one block from the Savvis Center where on earth the NHL Blues hockey team plays and a short, straight jaunt to the Arch and riverfront.
ya it is truly in downtown st louis...a bit of a pace from Busch Stadium (Cardinals baseball) but really close to the Scottrade Center (Blues hockey)
Union Station is at 14th and Market street which is on the western part of the downtown nouns very close to the Savis Center, the biggest post office and city meeting room.. They have a Metro Station on the grounds so you can bring to the ball park and the arch short a fairly long saunter. The stores at Union Station are mostly for tourist keepsakes so would not be the best if you are looking for an actual shopping precinct. However, they do have several restaurants located within if you are looking for a pretty reasonable breakfast time. If you want to visualize where things within downtown are located, you can consider the riverfront as zero and every block from near is a higher number. The convention center is at block 6, the arch is block zilch, the new Lumiere casino/Lacledes Landing is block 2, Macy's is in the region of block 7, the ball park is block 6, the loft district/clubs go from about block 9 to block 14 and up and if you find in trouble city secure unit is at block 12. Union Station is at block 14. Hope this was for a time help for you
