Circus Circus is fully clad and really cheap. They have an indoor amusement park and shows, shopping, and excellent room service. Kind of a kith and kin place though. But it's right on the strip.

I wholeheartedly recommend the Flamingo. Eat at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville! It is a perfect atmosphere and delicious food at not-so-bad prices. Stay surrounded by one of the GOluxury rooms, not the dusty old ones they haven't remodeled even so... I think its one and only like $75 extra a night- believe me, its worth it! You'll take a flatscreen tv, hot pink bathroom, ipod dock, and it is just so much more modern and fun. This is where on earth Vegas started-this was the hotel that Bugsy brought to time. There is a lazy river and more than one pool. It is within the heart of the strip- you won't ever feel out of the loop! Plus its deeply nice without the huge pricetag and snobiness at Caesar's Palace or the Venetian.
Depends on what you consider cheap. The Mirage is have a promotion and rooms are less than $200 a hours of darkness on the weekend in August which is relatively cheap contained by terms of Vegas. I believe I'm going to stay there at that time because its the best treaty I could find.
There are not many hotel on or essential the strip any more. Check out Travel Lodge on Las Vegas Boulevard South (Strip) or Budget Rooms just west of Strip

My fiancee' and I have stayed at the Luxor a few times and it's really nice...I tight-fisted, for its price range, it's really nice. You can bring a room there for anywhere from $80--$180 a dark, depending on the night.weekdays (Sun.-Thurs.) are other cheaper than weekends (Fri/Sat.)..The Luxor is really nice, hip and fun and would be great for you and your girls!
There's a local chain call Station Casinos here in town and they hold nice rooms too.Red Rock Station is very upscale as powerfully as Green Valley Ranch, so you'll pay more, but they're really nice! Those are going on for $140-$300 a night.
REALLY cheap hotels surrounded by Vegas are at Texas Station & Santa Fe Station, I think they start at around $49.00 a dark, perhaps $69.00, I'm not positive.
Prices revise, so do some research. In my experience, the best prices for hotel rooms in Vegas are on Priceline.com and Expedia.com...you can also check out Hotels.com...
The Rio have nice rooms too for not too much money..I wouldn't stay downtown (the cheapest of all), and I wouldn't just go and get a hotel outside of a casino becase those aren't in the best parts of town!
